In Namibia, the emphasis on environmental awareness is increasing. Namibia has always been known for the Wildlife protection and Nature Conservation, however, recycling has only just begun. Recycling is growing in Namibia, but in many areas it is still in its infancy. Michelle Kastern has taken it upon herself to start making a change in the one area that produces the most waste – the tourism industry. Her project has become a great success and are the first steps to ensuring a clean and environment friendly Namibia.

The DRC is a resettlement area on the eastern outskirts of Swakopmund.
